OLD BUSINESS
- CHAR-CAP
update, had two meetings at County Line School since last LEPC meeting,
planning coming along well. Got a
third figure today for both counties, looks like $4500 total for
both. We could have 18 Departments
in exercise. Will send letters to
all departments to see if they want to be evaluated by CHAR-CAP evaluator
instead of OSHA.
- Household
Hazardous Waste. Try to go with 2
dates May 4th at CITCO Station at M55 & M65, and April 20 in Oscoda
Twp at the Sunrise Convention Center.
Need help for both, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We will not take latex paint or oil.
NEW BUSINESS
- Tier
II Reports have been coming in on a regular basis. So far there has been no surprises for
302 sites.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ISSUES
- Had a
meeting on March 6 for the DOJ Grant, it looks like approximately $26,400
for Iosco County. Communication
Equipment (800 MHZ Radio) will possibly be bought for every Fire Dept in
County also Police Dept. The 3rd
District of Emergency Management will be going together to order 65
radios.
- The
Tri County will be having a disaster drill at Delta College with a plane. Tim will be an evaluator.
